A Roundtable Discussion Event

A round table discussion was held on 30th June 2019, which attended by the Operation Research (OR) practitioners and academicians at Air Keroh D Village, 1726, Jalan Ayer Keroh, 75450 Ayer Keroh, Malaysia. The objectives are to plan for the future of OR in Malaysia through academic syllabus as well as through industrial practice. The plan is hoped to be able to support the country in producing more talents in data analytics as well as more local experts within industries.

The round table discussion included three objectives:

1. Strategic Direction of MSORSM
2. OR Roles & Contribution to industries
3. Current and Future OR related academic programs

Participants are from academicians, industries and relevant parties who are part of the society. The following are the invited participants:
